ABOUT APPS AND PNR

The Thai Government requires the APPS and PNR Data Elements in the Department of Civil Aviation Committee Gazette and Thai Customs regulation, which are collected and provided by Air Carriers.
Beyond APPS and PNR, Thai Government also requires Accommodation data or Place of stay in Thailand of the aliens who have been temporarily stayed in the Kingdom of Thailand.
The APPS, PNR and Accommodation data are electronically transferred to the Advance Passenger Processing System (APPS) and Passenger Name Record System (PNR) with the aim of pre-screening of air passengers.

WHAT DOES APPS MEAN?

 APPS: Advanced Passenger Processing System is a service which airline operator send passenger information, air crew information and flight information to process before aircraft depart from, arrive to or transit through any international airports in the Kingdom of Thailand. Information will be processed by Thai Immigration Bureau to verity if a traveler can travel into or depart from the Kingdom of Thailand.
Moreover, the passenger who is an alien and will be temporarily stayed in the Kingdom of Thailand must be provided the Accommodation data or Place of stay in Thailand in advance through the APPS as well. Concerned data are described within the list of the required Accommodation or Place of stay in Thailand of the Immigration Bureau Gazette No.192/2561 dated on 19th October 2561.

WHAT DOES PNR MEAN?

PNR: Passenger Name Record data are personal information collected and held by air carriers (or their data providers). It includes information such as Passenger data, Ticket data, Flight itinerary data, Payment data, reservation, check-in and boarding data of passengers. Concerned data are described within the list of the required Passenger Name Record (PNR) Data of the Customs Notification No.43/2561 and Order of Immigration Bureau No.121/2565.
